The Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council’s primary purpose is to organize and oversee the community’s efforts to prevent child abuse. CAPC provides information and resources at community events and education. CAPC also leads the following six ongoing activities.
The Lisa Project in 10
CAPC brings The Lisa Project in 10 to high schools and other community venues to raise awareness and action regarding child abuse. The 10 minute experience draws participants into the stories of child abuse victims.
Student Action Clubs
High school students are continuing the work of child abuse awareness and prevention on their campuses, following their experience of The Lisa Project in 10. CAPC provides advisorship to these groups.

The Cynthia Lockhart Mummery conference is an annual conference focused on specific child abuse issues, with experts and resources to be equipped to respond.
Blue Ribbon Month
April is Blue Ribbon Month, focused on child abuse awareness and promotion of prevention. CAPC provides those in the community materials and leadership to participate.
