What We Do
The Tulare County Child Abuse Prevention Council’s primary purpose is to organize and oversee the community’s efforts to prevent child abuse. CAPC provides information and resources at community events and education. CAPC also leads the following six ongoing activities.
The Lisa Project in 10: Some Secrets Should be Told
CAPC brings The Lisa Project in 10 to high school and communities within Central California. The exhibit gives participants the opportunity to listen to the story of child abuse victims.
Communities For Child Well Being
CAPC partners with local communities seeking to cultivate child well being and prevent child abuse.
Cynthia Lockhart Mummery Conference
The Cynthia Lockhart Mummery Conference is held annually and focuses on a specific area of child abuse to educate and equip those who work with children.
Student Action Clubs
High School clubs formed after The Lisa Project exhibits to continue child abuse awareness and prevention.
Tulare Human Trafficking Resources
CAPC's Tulare County Human Trafficking Resources, which includes a website, newsletter, and project, assist the community to address child sex trafficking in our county.
Blue Ribbon Month
The month of April is Blue Ribbon month. CAPC provides resources and leadership for the community to participate in bringing child abuse awareness.
