The Father Factor

The role of fathers and how we view and value them in America is
changing. Over the past decades, fathers have been alternately
valued, ignored, or demonized by programs and policies, with
clear consequences to families, particularly in communities of
color. Today, we have an opportunity to rethink, retool, and reenergize the national movement on fatherhood, recognizing both
the vital role of mothers and the impact of fathers on families and
communities.
